I am a children and youth worker in our parish. In Finland, there is a tradition of clubs for different ages, so nowadays I am having once at 2 weeks Orthodox children and youth club "Our Friends" St. Nektarios and St. APraskeva. We are together 1,5 hours when we discuss diffenret aspects related to the church year.

I wish I woudl have read this post last Saturday morning, before the club. Well, I at least avoided focusing on this celebration and going with lcoal celebration, which is of all saints from Karelia, considered important for the roots of the local Orthodoxy. And we discussed about the coming celebration, Christmas and what it is really about.

We are trying to prepare a christmas play and to have also some songs learn. If you have any carol with a fairly simple melody and words to suggest, I would be glad to take it for rehearseal. Of course, the problem is that our children knowedge of English is pretty basic.

Sorry for sliding a bit from the topic in the end.

Take care!
